You're just buying into the hype. For the most part there is plenty of stuff available to us here on the US market. If and only if a particular item is only available from a JDM company then I am willing to get it. For example an engine torque brace. But once an American company decides to make one and sell it for less than the overpriced JDM piece you can be sure that I would go for the American version.

 

Japanese Domestic Market DOES offer some of the best parts (performance wise), but it does also come at a pretty penny. For example if you want the best ITR header on the market, your gonna wanna go toda, or SMSP, yeah they're also over a grand. I am just saying STRICTLY PERFORMANCE wise, JDM is not rice. I do not see why you guys are bashing me for that statement. Please dont treat me like im some newb, i deserve a level of respect too.

 

no, i did not mean it like that. I made it sound like i was some HUGE JDM whore, i will admit yes I am pretty fond of the 'JDM' hype right now. But i certainly didn't mean to sound like some ricer that doesnt know shit.

 

You do realize that SMSP and Hytech headers are made right here in the good ole US of A, right? They're custom built to order and produce way higher numbers than the "JDM" Toda header. Toda isn't even a JDM company since they have an official USA distributor.

BTW.

Anything japanese or claiming to be "JDM" on an American or German car is especially rice. Extra points for japanese lettering on cavaliers, sunfires, or anything not only american, but horribly slow.

Let me add the term "kraut (spelling?)" for anything euro-ricey... which is mostly just overstretching wheels on 13-inch-wide tires.
