Default ITR exhaust??

hey everyone, i just got a GSR and i want to put an exhaust on it, and i love the way the stock ITR sounds. and although many disagree, i prefer that to the low throaty rumble common to the aftermarket catback systems. so if anyone has their stock ITR exhaust laying around, i will take it off your hands.

The stock ITR exhaust will NOT fit a 1995 GS-R. It is several inches too short in the midpipe section. A factory exhaust is not worth the extra effort to customize it. However, if you had a 2000-up GS-R, it may fit, so maybe you can score a JDM R header, a 2.5" cat, and then go from there...but as it sits, it will not fit a 1995 GS-R without fabrication.

it really wont cost much to go to a muffler shop and have them slightly modify it to fit. with the cost of the exhaust plus the fabrication will still not be even close to what i would pay for other aftermarket exhausts like the apexi N1 and Greddy Evo which i was also considering.
but i do have a question. would it sound the same on my car as it does on the stock ITR?

I would say it'll sound different only because the ITR has a different manifold (both intake and exhaust), and also you'll be fabricating it, which will affect the sound due to the length of the midpipe.

Ross Rapoport just bought his leased car. He had been holding onto the OEM exhaust in case he had to return the car to stock, but maybe he doesn't need to think about that anymore.
