Default 9005 Conversion and associated gaskets...

9005 conversion was a breeze. I just kinda picked up some bulbs, compared the harnesses, and 10 minutes later (After letting the soldering iron warm up) I had some converted 9005 bulbs... but I still have one question...

The 9005 bulb has a smaller seal around it than a 9006 bulb. Should I not worry about this, or is there something I should do to adjust for this difference in the seal?

I've had several sets of 9005 silverstars in my low-beams, and I haven't had any problems (such as moisture or dirt) with crap getting into the assembly. I say don't worry about it.

I tried, but I pulled the seal off of the 9006 and the 9005, and the seal was too big and didn't seat properly. Should I put the 9006 seal on the 9005 bulb, say, in addition to the normal gasket, behind it and closer to the harness?

dont take the 9005 seal off.. just put the rubber ring of the 9006 over the 9005.
