And I'd LOVE for my car to sound like it actually had balls, but alas, I have an econobox... A 94 GS-R, but an econobox nonetheless...

Personally, I have a GReddy Evo exhaust. Super low idle note, and probably the quietist straight-through single pass muffler on the market. I get compliments on it's note from the bigblock baddies, and to me, that's the biggest reinforcement one can get IMO...

Unfortunately, never... My home town commands such high property values that it's impossible to insure such an event and have the participation fees be under $100 per person... But I'm moving up to San Jose soon and hopefully I'll be able to change that...

But, as evidence:

Type-Rs and GS-Rs are entirely different beasts, and thus I rest my case.

We do see GS-Rs putting up a show in the Street Prepared:

But, in the grand scheme of things, there are many cars that are more impressive than GS-Rs. You can't deny that GS-Rs are just damn awesome economy cars... simple as that... and in that respect, they excel. But when you compare them to a car that was supposed to be raced (ITR, NSX, Supra, RX-7, Elise, S2K, Skyline GT-R, M3, M5, etc etc) they don't really hold a candle. To me, those are impressive cars

And Erik's racing's got a civic with a modified B18C1 that's broken into the 9's...

Impressive is relative. Integras are impressive within the economy class and the FWD class, but when compared to real cars that were designed to run fast from the ground up... well, the result is obvious...

In any event, I hope you're going for the "all motor" sound more than the bumble bee sound.
If you want something to that extent, buy an Apexi N1.
From then on, the higher your cr and the lumpier your cams will get you that sound you are looking for.
Please help control the rice population, and don't buy a shitty exhaust from Autozone.

Well if you want REAL power from an exhaust system, check out the hytech header/highflow cat and catback exhaust with the twin loop muffler setup.

if you don't want the noise, you just want better air flow, go with the type r exhaust and cat. they also make a very subtle low humm.....its nice

Wow, why would you want to be annoying? My Comptech cat-back is low and rumbly and sounds amazing. To each his own, but I ask you rethink this.
