i am looking for a somewhat loud, but not obnoxious exhaust. the Apexi WS is reasonably in my price range, but im concerned that it will be too quiet. someone please let me know!

 

I heard it on a Civic...way to quiet for me, but I guess I like to be able to hear exhausts.....just my .02 :rockon:

 

One can never have too quiet of an exhaust. The Apex'i WS is a great catback system if you don't mind having a chambered exhaust. I'd rather own a Comptech system though..

 

yeah i am looking for something louder. unfortunately comptech doesn't make one for the 4 door GSR. any alternatives?

there should be many alternatives. greddy sp2, dc sports, tanabe hyper sm, etc.. not too loud or raspy.

 

i <3 my WS.

but IMO, intake sound > exhaust sound.

if i didnt have my WS i'd have a comptech.

 

i got the greddy sp2, that has a nice sound. or i heard the evo is also very nice in what you are looking for.

 

:werd: your engine sound should always be louder than your exhaust sound...or atleast not have your exhaust be so loud so that you can't even hear your engine.

 

Yes, absolutely.... after completing the fabrication on my custom cat-back, I have been plagued with a horrid resonance in the chassis of the car. From 3000rpm to 5600rpm, anything beyond 45% of WOT creates this all-consuming drone....I can feel the floor of the car vibrate in harmony with the relatively quiet exhaust. If I don't get my hands on about 12 sq.ft of Dynamat immediately, I swear I'll be fit for the loony bin. :upset:
