speedometer accuracy at 150mph
Hey, i went out tonight with the intention of seeing what my current modifications would do to affect my top speed. To my surprise my car burried the speedometer at 150mph! I know that this is not the actual speed i was going and was wondering if any one knows the approximate % of accuracy that a teg's speedo has at that speed, my only modifications are 205's on stock rims, H&R race springs, Koni yellow shocks, AEM CAI, edlebrock 65mm TB, skunk 2 intake manifold, and denso iridium spark plugs. I went out expecting speeds of about 140, and to my surprise got to 150 and fairly quickly. If you have any idea of that accuracy % let me know.

im not sure of the RPM mainly because i was more concerned with keeping my car as stable as possible and reaching the aerodynamic limit. My wheels and tires are the the same diameter as the stock wheels and tires, so that should not cause a MPH difference as far as i can see, the only thing the tires should affect is the added friction that the extra surface area creates but this is such a small number that i doubt it really comes into play at this point. I was doing 150 on a local highway I-71 North in cincinnati very late at night and was very careful to make sure the road was clear. And i am well aware of the risk's that i faced.

Apparently it is, i didnt expect to go as fast as i did with as little done as i do. I still have a 4-1 header, high flow cat, and full cat-back exhaust awaiting install. So hopefully my results will be even better next time.

Been there done that :nervous:, in import-tooner's old GSR.
The accuracy is not so good, I'd give about -2 to 7 mph.
