Springs or Shocks
#21
Yeah, I had to get new rear bushings when I did mine. It's kind of a pain in the ass, but it seems to happen to Integras all the time. Good thing you have access to a press and all the appropriate metal-working tools. Good Luck!

Hey thanks JGordon, i just picked up the complete kit from energysuspension for $200CAN which seems to be a good deal. Now i dont have to worry about not having the right parts once i get it all apart and i have the bushing for a short throw when i get one. I'll give an update on Sat after i'm done (*he says hopefully*).

i've dealt with both those springs before. and i vouch for eibach and their line of products. great quality all around. the sportline and pro kit is honestly the same as in ride comfort. it's just that the sportlines drop the car a little more. and honestly if you threw in the pro kit, with stock shocks i almost 100 percent positive your struts won't blow, heck they'll still feel like a stock ride, but with some struts it'll feel like a whole new car in handeling. you'd only need an alignment with the pro kit no need for a camber kit. and plus for 100bucks i say go for the springs.

Thanks for the input, glad to hear ur opinion on the life of the shocks. This job has turned into a money pit though - $100 for springs, $200 to replace bushings, $65 for bushing bolts (available only from dealer), $20 on grease and antiseize = $385. But once it's done i can rest in the knowledge that my suspension is well taken care of (with the exeption of proper shocks )

It took 7 hours to cut all the rear bushings out, press them out of the control arm and reinstall everything, but now it's all done ! The new bushings combined with the new springs give it great feel, more controlled in the turns without a much sacrifice in ride.
Is it common that these eibach springs, with thier 1.3" front AND rear drop, sit lower in the back than in the front. I see a noticable difference between them, not a big deal to me but just curious if other ppl notice the same with thiers.
Thanks

The springs aren't actually lower in the rear, but the front wheelwells are cut higher than the rears. Most Integra springs come with a slightly lower spring in the front to even out the look, but the pro-kits do not. It's by far the most common complaint about the prokits, and the only thing I don't like about my set.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm glad to know it's normal. I guess i'm also curious how these springs rate in terms of performance, relative to other manufacturers. Would a person still buy the eibachs knowing that the back will "look" like it's sitting lower if they were only concerned with performance (does the performance outway the drawback of height illusion)? Funny question i know...
Thanks again
