Default Does AEM V2 justifies the EXTRA price? A critical Analysis!!!!

As the topic says, does it makes sense to pay another $75 or so to get a AEM v2 ? (Assuming original aem for a Integra GSR goes for $185 or so and V2 for around $260)

I want to look at AEm V2 from the following priorities

Number 1 : Performance across the rpm range ( Low rpms, mid and high rpms)

Number 2 : Sound. Which gives a deeper tone? (I know some of you are not bothered with the sound...but hey there is nothing wrong in having a better sounding intake?)

Number 3: Fitment - How easy or difficult to install both? Long term fitment issues if any

Number 4 : Resale value - If you want to sell it after another year or so

If there is some previous post which covers all these individual aspects, I apologize .....as I didn't find it when I did a search.

Thanks a lot

No, the V2 is not worth it. Just go for the original CAI.

Performance gains from a "V2" to a "V1" aren't substantial. Just go with the older one if you can still find one.

Look, he said he tried to search. It's not helpful in the least to tell him to search when he already did.

One trick when trying to search for a term that is under the character limit such as V2, type in V2* instead which will make it long enough.

But this is not a commonly known trick so it is perfectly excusable for someone to not be able to find anything after trying to type in V2.

I agree with the consensus here...just get the original AEM CAI. One thing I have found is that the CAI will rub against the frame where it bends into the area in front of the wheel well. I used some padded tape to cushion this area and then wrapped that with heat tape to prevent a hole from rubbing through.

According to that page, the AEM SRI makes a higher peak horsepower sooner than the CAIs :eek3:
