Default Yay! got my car back PIC attached

Sooooo, it actually came to 10,117.00 and there is a funny reason why. 3/4th of the parts he ordered were for the TYPE-R. We were both laughing about it. No big deal tho' the person at faults insurance company is picking up the bill. There was no frame bend / dmg... infact it didnt even need an alignment when they brought it to the tire shop. But they did a re-alignment just in case.

Here's a little before and after :

First impressions after not having it for 2 month's. Damn its loud! Its also nice to be back in a 5-speed. That whole automatic crap takes the fun out of driving. Im buying it a welcome home present within the next couple weeks, I just want to make sure there are no problems still present. Thinking 4-1 header and maybe a new sound unit.

Anywho, Im once again part of the club!

p.s. Saved me some mileage, my odometer reads 15,117. I must have one of the lowest mileage 2000' GSR's around.

Wow :eek3:, that's some impressive work! Although, you should have had him paint your sideskirts while you were there . Looks great though, does the car feel the same to you? Congratulations man. Not much would be different between the GSR and ITR parts. He obviously didn't get ITR door skins .

Yeah about 3/4th through ordering/receiving the parts he realized that his total was coming up allot higher then the quote from the insurance agency. Come to find out a good portion of the parts were Type-R. Explaining why the total was coming up so high. At this point it was already too late and some of the parts had already been fitted onto the car so he went with it. The only part that was not brand-new was the side mirror, which was pulled off a used 2k GSR.

For two months I had been driving my friends 2k1 Crown Vic. ( a boat ) So going from that back to this was like night and day. Only thing that freaked me out was the Crown Vic had speed power assisted steering. So it took little to no effort to turn the wheel. Compared to my car it almost felt like I didn’t have power steering at first. But then all the familiarities started to come back.

As far as gap’s between panels there near to perfect. The only real spots you can tell that the car had been worked on is under the hatch. There are fresh weld marks where he had attached the new rear quarter panel. They have been painted and what not but you can see the difference between the factory welds and his. All and all Im pretty satisfied with his work.

Tonight Im gonna check fluids and re-detail the inside a bit. Also punch in my radio code ~Doh! , forgot to and was running late for work...
