Default Factory Radio Locked

Battery died and recieved new battery for my car. My radio locked down and will not work at all, however, I do not posses a owners manual and do not have a code to unlock. I called Acura Dealership to tell them my problem and they want $100.00 to take my radio out and to fix the problem. What are my options considering that this is a manufactured radio should thier be a default code or something? Is there a way around this please help?
Thanks

There are a few places they typically stick the "secret code" Try opening the hood and looking under the lid of the fuse box, stuck to the bottom of the ashtray is another popular spot. It will be a 4 or 5 number code that you enter when you turn the car on. Fvckin' car dealer trying to cahrge you $100 for looking something up on the computer, bastards

I thought, I might be wrong on this one, that Acura could run a VIN check and give you the security code? I thought it was a generally free thing? Hrm...

i heard that it might also be on the other side of the glove box, i doubt youll be able to guess the code, try calling a different dealer they might handle it differently and not charge as much

i found mine inside the trunk area.... look on either the left or right removable panels that have access to the taillights. It just might be behind one of those covers with a sticker that has your serial # and the radio code.
