Default Other ways to get Radio Code

Hi. I have the following problem and need some help.

I purchased a used LS at a used cars dealer and they did not provide the Radio Code. I asked them to get it for me, but they said they didn't knew how.

There is only one Acura/Honda dealer in my country and they charge me $85 bucks to get me the code.

I asked them how much they would charge if I removed the radio myself and they told me $85, its a flat rate regardless of if I removed the radio or them.

Can someone with access to Honda help me get the code? I heard that XSrcing had access. please send me an e-mail by means of this site or pm (I don't like posting e-mails in forums) to give you the numbers.

Please help I don't want to pay $85 to be able to use my own radio in my own car.

Thanks a million.

Rebecca

What country are you from? If you PM me your serial number from the top of the radio in your car I will see what I can do.

Yah thats bullshit...they should never charge for this. All they need is the serial # from the stereo. Look it up in the computer and bada bing youre done.

Thanks DVPGSR.

I will wait.

I can't afford paying nearly 100 bucks to the dealer for looking up a number on a computer.

:madfawk: the dealer. They are stealling money for something that is free for them.

I had the same problem with my Eclipse, but I decided it was time to upgrade to an aftermarket CD player.

Actually, Acura is supposed to be all customer service oriented, they should not charge you a god damn thing for a penny ante service like a few key strokes on a computer
