omg, Im just gonna stop trying.

the seed is planetd to deep.

the exhaust gasses dont increase compression. they just reduce the amound of intake air that gets into the chamber.

and people dont run 3" exhausts for a nimber of reasons
sound
cost
but mostly - PEOPLE ARE STUPID. most people think that you DO need backpressure.

dyno it, put on the exhaust, dyno it again. you wont lose a single lb. ft of torque, actually, you will probably gain some above 5-6 rpm

I just read the first post over, and realized that its wrong.

the catalytic converter actually only reduces about 30% of the noise. Im not sure where you got the idea that an emissions device reduces more noise than a muffler. do you even know how a cat works?

Don't get a straight pipe, they sound like crap. Get a hi-flo cat and that way you'll be making almost as much power, have a better sounding car, and pass emissions too.

As for a LOUD exhaust...I would stay away from names such as OBX or Arospeed. My friend had an OBX catback exhaust on his civic....the silencer tip fell off (while "bolted" on) and the noise has been giving him headaches everytime he drives the car.

a 3 inch exhaust is much louder than a 2. cost is a minor reason, but one that applies nonetheless. most 3 inch exhausts for hondas that I have found cost quite a bit more than a 2 or 2.5 in exhaust.

but remember, the main reason is the stupidity/ignorance of people
