i'm pretty sure vtec on a b18c hits at 4400, and i know the secondaries open up around mid 5000's

one more question...is the vtec engagment or secondaries opening noticable from inside?

When the secondaries open up the pitch of the exhaust note changes signifigantly. the cams switching over is not really that noticable as far as exhaust goes. The more exhaust and intake mods the more noticeable the change is (or so i hear)

There is a slight audible difference with the exhaust at 4400...the secondaries are a lot more noticable, esp. with the intake at 5750.
