Stock Panasonic Battery question
Lately i've been noticing my starts have been getting weaker, but thats no surprise since i have almost 90k worth of miles on it, with 5-8 starts a day on average. Anyway I went to check the little clear indicator on the top and it wasnt green, it was red, indicating "Distilled Water".
How do i add distilled water, if possible? (did search) If anything, i'm just gonna cough up the cast to pick up a 51rd optima.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it seemed to be exactly what I'm asking. Anyways, the OEM Panasonic battery's eye color has turned clear. It has been in use for 8 years so I want to replace it. I am not drawing huge amounts of load from the battery that would call for a top of the line battery. Basically, what I'm looking for is an OEM replacement. I would prefer to stick with the OEM Panasonic but I'm not sure how much they cost and if it is better than diehard from sears, interstate, or batteries from autozone. Can someone give me a few suggestions as to which one I should go with? I have a stock stereo system and that's it. The most I will do in the future is upgrade my deck & speakers. Sometimes when my car is off, I listen to the radio or cd for a while so I want something that won't drain out quickly and is reliable. Keeping costs down is a plus.
BTW, my gf's dad bought a battery (not sure what brand) from his '85 camry but then it broke down. Anyone know if it's a possible fit? What kind of specs do I need to look for in that battery to make sure it's okay to use in the teg? Thanks you guys/gals are always helpful.

i've since got an optima 51rda back in early january. it rocks, and offers me great peace of mind, as well as a few other perks.
look for a 51R series battery for your car man.
