I have a 94 with real real real bad piston slap. The car has over 200K but I'm not sure about this engine, I bought the car used. Here are the paticulars about this car VIN has a 4 in the 6th digit, Engine code is B18B1 #1353263 and it is an automatic 4spd tranny code SP7A-2004390. I'm looking to do an engine swap:

1. I'm going to stay with the auto tranny

2. I don't want to go Vtec (I'm gonna stay with the B18B1 motor).

3. Is there a differnece in engine bolt patterns between manual and auto trannys? (I want to stay auto, I'm asking because most motors I've seen had manual trannys).

4. Will any B18B1 motor bolt in with out a mod? (I understand about 96 and up having a differnet ECU).

You need to keep all you '94 electronics, but it's easy.

The auto transaxle will bolt right on to any manual or auto engine.
