Default skunk2 short shifter

So I bought a skunk2 short shifter from an auction on ebay. Heres the auction.

BUT, what I got was the double bend one that says' its for 93-01 tegs. Will this one work on my 93teg? Are there any advantages to the double bend vs single bend?

I prefer the look of the single bend. I've already sent an email telling him it's the wrong one and if we can do an exchange for the right one. But, if this will work just as good or better... then I'll skip that and not exchange it.

Besides lowering the height of the shifter, how much closer are the gears in the gearbox? 10%, 20%, 40% closer?

The double bend will fit your '93 but technicall it is for '94-'01 cars. The guy who made the auction should have said '94-'01 since '93 is only one year of the previous generation from the cars that the double bend is designed for. But yeah it'll fit.

The gears are the same ratios, the only thing the shifter changes is the length of the throws.

The stock shifter in the 3rd gen has a double bend, the stock shifter in the 2nd gen has a single bend. That's why skunk2 makes each.

Check out MrFatBooty's post in there, show a pic of them side by side.

:dunno: I think the single bend looks better... but if there's no functional diffrence... then I guess I don't care.
