Anone know any good places online to get the konis yellows? Also, is it difficult to adjust them? Do you have to take off the whole shock each time to adjust, or can you do it while it's installed on the car?

my brother has kyb agx's with gc's on his gsr. they feel very nice and smooth from the few times he's let me drive it. h: as for adjusting them, the come with a little flat head screw driver you use to turn the knob on top of the rod coming out of them. you can easily access them from the shock towers.

Well I was talking about lowering springs rather than sleeve coilovers. H&R Race, Neuspeed Race, etc. They lower the car a bunch and are pretty stiff.

The skunk2 coilovers are also pretty stiff springs which are a bit too stiff for the AGXs to properly damp.

You can get the Konis from a lot of different places. Tirerack.com sells em, and you can get em plenty of other places.

You can adjust them while they are on the car.

The standard GC spring rates are a good bit softer than the skunk2s.

Unless your really tight on cash, get the Koni's. There is a reason why many exotic cars are wearing them. I've had a set for 'bout 3yrs and they are exceptional.

I say tokico blues...adjustability is overrated.

Sure its nice, but how often will you adjust them? If youre like me, the answer is never.

Tokico blues aren't really up to the spring rates on the skunk2's.

Bah, sure they are.

All this stuff is textbook man, it will be just fine if you arent looking for adjustability.

Its the same shit like when people say kyb agx's wont hold a drop over 1.5"...of course they will. What physically makes them any less capable? Ive seen guys with well over a 2" drop run AGXs for years without issues.

It's not so much the 2" drop but the spring rate that blows out the AGXs. The skunk2s are like 500 lb/in front and 400 lb/in rear which is a bit much for a basic upgrade shock.
