Which gear do you leave your car in?

As said, it depends on the situation. But mostly, I shift according to the powerband and "feel" of the motor at the particular road situation, which is in most cases around 3000 rpm for daily cruising.

i shift up around 4-4500 through 1st,2nd because i just keep hearing the exhaust getting louder and i just like to hear it. If im at a light and it goes green i like to get out and go, im not like most people who just barely press the gas peddle and take two minutes to hit 40 mph, most of the city speed limits are 45 around here, so once i hit 45 mph without floorin it, just revin out the 1-2 gears to about 4500-5k, i'll throw it in fifth and maintain that speed, well i never actaully stay at the speed limit, at least 5-10 over.
