This is my first Honda and I bought it from the dealer with a few mods on it, I/H/E/AEM Cam Gears/AEM Pulleys(that I can see at least).. after hard driving the other night I noticed a definite lifter tick. Also the idle seemed a little off as if there were more agressive came. Obviously the only way to diagnose the cams is just to check em out.

Is it normal to have a bit of lifter tick after hard driving? On my VW's it was. If it isnt...looks like that waranty I bought is about to pay for itself.

 

I have that on my Teg, had Acura do a valve adjustment the first time I heard it after the car was broken in, and it still did it. They said it was normal, I still have it and no problems so I tend to agree.

 

The injectors in GSR's are noisey. That sounds like what it is, the injectors are known to "tick" its perfectly normal.

 

Yeah my GS-R ticks, but I've been told it is normal.

you talking about the ticking when you let it cool off or does it tick even at idle?

 

when my gsr is idling, and I am outside the car, I here a little bit of ticking, but I'm not sure if I need a valve adjustment or its the injectors.

 

huh. I hear a very slight ticking while at idle on my g/f's RSX-S. Only when i'm standing outside the car upfront...

assuming it is probably normal. Anyone know pertaining to the RSX-S?

Sorry to whore and be a little off-topic.

 

I was talking about at idle..its pretty loud too. Cant say the car "feels" like anythings wrong but the tick is very noticeable.
