Yeah, that's about right.

When the ABS light is on, the ABS does not work. I know that from experience.

When mine came on back in the day, the dealer said it was the ABS modulator. That part you can only get from the dealer for around $1500, plus installation. It could just be one of the wheel sensors, but I doubt it.

Default $1500 dollars my ass

@ www.carpartsamerica.com an ABS modulator costs $50 for the core and $497.94 for the whole unit. That's 1/3 of what you suggested. You're crazy to pay that much! $1500??? Get outa here!

I didn't pay anything. I was looking in to selling it, but I totalled it before I had the chance.

I didn't "suggest" anything. That is the dealer retail price at Karen Radley Acura/VW of Woodbridge, VA.

$500 isn't exactly cheap either, plus I'd trust an Acura part over any rebuilt part anyway.

I wouldn't trust a used one. I'd rather take the $500 rebuilt, because if that used one has any little tiny bit of crud in it, you can wave "bye-bye!" to in in a month or two.

It's better then nothing though.

The ABS computer stores trouble codes just like the engine computer does. The ABS computer on '90-'93 Integras is located inside the passenger side rear seat side panel. It has an LED light on it that blinks out the codes. There is a square access window covered by a plug on that panel that lets you see the LED. It's the smaller of the two plugs in the panel.

I'll upload the pages from the Helms manual to show you how to check the code.
