how bright are the 10000k light's in comparison all the pictures on ultra bright look the same to me

 

Silverstars are not as good as HID's. If they were people would get them and spend $30 instead of $300+

yes, but buying HID's for the color is just throwing your money away. I think he meant that if you are buying the HIDs for the color, then just go ahead and get silverstars. If you are getting HIDs to actually see (4300k Philips) then get HIDs.

 

DO NOT get anything over 6500k. It just looks stupid and will probably get you pulled over often.

If your just going for the color... goto walmart and get the ricer bulbs. They come in all the stupid colors like 10000k. :down:

 

After market HID's are not as good as OEM HID.

Unless you buy them with correct a specific projector. If you just gonna buy them and put them in the original housing, then I think it's a waste of money as they will never look as good as OEM HID, but more like Silverstars.

 

umm integras come with stock projectors.. of course it would never look like OEM HID's but you would see much better then those Silverstar bulbs with a 9005 conversion..

 

As someone who has had stock, then PIAA Hyper Whites, and now a Phillips 4300K HID kit in my Integra I have to say the lighting goes like this.

HID>PIAA>Stock

The difference between the PIAAs and stock was minimal, the difference between PIAAs and my HIDs was incredible. It may not be as perfect as stock projector HIDs but it is a vast improvement over stock halogen and IMHO certainly not a waste of $$!

 

what is a 9005 conversion?

I really like the color of the OEM hids and had a set on one of my VW's..I know thats not the "cool" thing but I live in the burbs and theres city lights everywhere so I see fine. Which kit from Ultrabrightlights gives a look comperable to the S2k??

 

9005 conversion is adapting a 9005 high beam bulb to fit into the 9006 low beam housing. Basically you are allowing the plugs to fit the bulb. From what I hear this is not the best way to go.

As for the color like the S2K it is the reflective properties of the projector that give it the color. The Kelvin rating for the bulb I believe is 4300K. From UBL you would want their 5300K kit.
