Default when buying a GSR motor for swap...

how do u know if it will work when installed?

im going today with a mechanic to look at a private sale just so he can ask some smart questions.
those who have experience what should i be aware of? this motor is legit and comes with papers according to him.
would it be smart to get him so sign a 'contract' to give my $$ back if it doesnt work?
thanks

Of course it would be smart to have everything in paper when you possibly can. Everyone can be your best friend when they are selling something....

Check the VIN and carfax it. Look for non-OEM parts such as valve cover bolts, etc.

Smell it for peepee!

It's amazing what some people around here will do to a car just cause it's no a Ford or Chevy.
