no, you would bog 2nd gear and have no acceleration.

its when there is enough strain on the engine that its slowing down, but not enough to sieze the engine. Bogging sucks.

Depending on the type of course LudeRage, sometimes its faster to downshift into first gear. Try taking a turn in first gear and flooring it as you exit, hellva lot faster than taking it in 2nd

no need to downshift to first just open the throttle and let the charger take over
better have a good diff though

 

But even then, wouldn't it be benifical to be in 1st going from 6k - 7k and shifting if needed, than staying in 2nd at 4k?
