Default Whining Transmission

I have a 95 Teg with an ACT Xtreme PP and Street Disk and I have noticed lately that every time I press the clutch pedal to shift gears, I hear a sound like a cat making a whining sound. I don't have a problem shifting gears or anything and the clutch is about 2 years old. Any thoughts??

When's the last time you changed your transmission fluid?

About a year ago. I do run the car hard and it's probably runnin a bit too low. I'll check that out tomorrow and let you know if it solves the problem.

Could be the throw out or release bearing is going bad. It would be that if you push the clutch in, and the noise starts then goes away when you let off. Classic throw out bearing symtom

I replaced the transmission fluid and still the noise is happening. All I have to do is rest my foot on the clutch pedal and it whines like a cat in heat. When I lift my foot, the noise is gone. It just might be the throw out bearing/release bearing. Does that need to be replaced ASAP? Will it ruin the clutch if not? How much will it cost and the labor involved :madfawk: as well? Anyone!

I've seen a local shop swap a clutch and flywheel for $200.00.
