ITR 4.785 Final Drive in a LS tranny
Has anyone heard of this combination? I want to keep all my VIN plates matching in my car, and dont want to buy a mystery history transmission.

I took apart my 5 speed tranny a few times already. It can be done no problem, just make sure if you have never done it before, you get some help. there are about a million little washers, and specers in between the gears the syncro's, and can be a pain in the ass trying to figure out where they all go.
Also, these tranny's are made with such presision you have to be 110% dead on to make things fit. (i mean not even a hair off)
I took apart a cavalier's 5 speed tranny and trust me any iddiot could put that thing together, but Honda, its a whole different concept!

Thats sweet man. Very few people know how to disassemble and reassemble a transmission....
Even though I think I'm competent and knowledgeable enough to do the job, I wouldnt have the peace of mind afterwards.
