bottoming out...
in the summer i put on tokico blues and some really "cheap" coilovers. sometimes when i hit a dip in the road fast, my car bottoms out (and by bottoms out i dont mean scraping the frame i mean i hear a thump from the shock towers.) is this normal with a lowered suspension?

actually tokico blues are just a little stiffer then stock shocks, i highly dont recommend them
i bottomed out occasionally on my old civic....go with better shocks or at least illuminas at least io

I know exactly what your talking about. I put cheap oem struts with intrax springs on mine (1.75 in drop) when I hit a large dip or pothole I get the same feeling....cd player even skips sometimes.

Are you running any sort of bump stops?
The springs may not necessarily be soft (more than likely they're pretty stiff) but you need a shock with more aggressive damping rates to properly control the motion of the springs.
Also I would ditch the crap coilovers.
