I stick w/ Honda MTF. i have heard both ways though. Motor Oil or Honda MTF. Many people also use redline fluids. Some one said on some board a while back that he had ruined his tranny quickly on regualr motor oil. i stick w/ honda b/c cant go wrong that way.

Not really. The weights may be the same, but your engine needs a whole lot of different additives than your transmission.

Also, they can be a little more aggressive with tranny additives than with engine oil, because they don't have to worry about emissions.

Bottom line... 10w30 weight is correct, but MTF will do your tranny a whole lot more good than Castrol
