Default b16 engine question

my friend told me if i put certain type of pistons in my car i will make it high compressed and if your engine is high compressed u can not run a turbo will my question is i plan on buying a turbo for my car and i have a b16 engine but i want to put some type r pistons in it can i still put these pistons in it and put a turbo on it thanks for any ones help

Lower compression is safer for boost. So raising the compression would lead to more detonation which is bad. The type r pistons would just cause more problems.
