Default Toyo Proxes FZ4

just wondering who has these tires in 205/40ZR/16 and how you like them and how well do the tread last from average driving (getting on the gas a few times a week) other than that pretty much normal driving. also how good are they in winter.. so basically if you have these tires or you know someone that has them please say if you like them a lot or if you hate them or if your friends like or hate them. thanks a lot!

THEY SUCK!!!!!!!! I have a set (205/45/16) - they have the WORST wet traction ever! Tread life is very good, but they are also very noisy. Sure, they're better than the usual stock tire all around, but that's most likely only because they are wider and lower profile.

well so far on my stock tires when its wet out and i floor it in 1st and 2nd and 3rd i never got traction what so ever... now with those tires i can get traction all the way through 1st... but when i shift i spin like crazy.. but then i get the traction later.. i like these tires a lot.. also i can take turns wayyy faster than i could on dry or wet pavement..

that's the EXACT reason i hated mine. i actually felt unsafe driving with those damn things in the rain. they would start to slide going 30 mph anytime the wheel turned....and sometimes they slid just for the heck of it.

well from what i have felt the rain traction is hella better than my stock 185/60/14 and 195/60/14 they suck in rain, NO TRACTION in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd if i'm on it... with these tires i only loose traction shifting gears in the rain, thats all... maybe i got lucky?? or you guys think i'll hate them over stock tires and wish i had stock tires back on? from what hlhiii said about they would start to slide in 30mph anytime the wheel turned, i've take a 45 mph 90 degree turn in the rain and no sliding no nothing just gripping.. i dunno i like them. next tires i'll get is probably Nitto Neo Gens

i'm glad that you like them...i just had bad experiences with them. i liked my kumho's over them. i like my hankook ventus better still. i just like a decently grippy tire in the wet and dry. i'm not into $100 a tire for a 15 inch rim.

they handled ok in the dry. and don't sweat it. i've bought several sets of tiresand not liked some of them. you live and you learn. personal experience doesn't come from magazines.
