Default Injector cleaner - this stuff is the best!!!

I need to share some amazing info to everyone in HAN world - I recently purchased some injector/engine cleaner from a local store - it's called SEAFOAM.... let me tell you, this stuff really works! Some tech from a local garage told me about this stuff that it eats carbon like mad, but won't wash out your rings and seals like the Techron or honda stuff. So I put it to the test - I pulled all the plugs out of my engine and put about 10ccs in each cylinder, then I let it sit for a few hours - the rest of the can went in the tank. (BTW this stuff is even safe for the crankcase too!) Well, after I put the plugs back in and fired the motor back up, a got a big surprise..... after the smoke cleared from all this stuff burning out of the cylinders, it instantly ran a lot smoother! (and no, it won't hurt your O2 sensor) I took it down the road... the throttle response was a lot better as well as the idle. This fixed the problem I had with the low engine idle! Out of curiousity I pulled the plugs back out and look down on top of the pistons - the carbon really cleaned up well! I also fixed an older accord that smoked really bad with this stuff - I put it in the oil and it might have unstuck the oil control rings... no more smoke. The engine went from burning a quart of oil in 500 miles to a qt in 2500! Just when I thought it might be just another piece of crap additive like Marver Mystery Oil.... was I wrong!

You can get it at NAPA auto parts stores.

Sure did! This is what I was told by the tech at the shop. Obviously you shouldn't put much more than that in otherwise you could hydro-lock the engine.

If we dont have something that can tell us CC's should we just skip the part about putting some in the sparkplug hole? Or should we put a teaspoon, or tablespoon full in each?

It's about four table spoons worth - I used a syringe with a little hose to put it into the sparkplug holes and the syringe happened to have cc markings on it. Like I said, it's not that critical, but too much is going to hydrostatically lock up the motor, so be careful. People with low compression motors don't have to worry, but B16 and B18c owners need to be careful. The longer you let the engine set after doing this, the better it will work. Perhaps overnight would be best. The car with the oil use problem needed to be treated overnight, so the stuff would go down into the ringlands of the pistons.

chevy does the same thing alot of the times with fifty-fifty success getting rid of carbon if you dont want to damage anything what they do is they leave all the spark plugs out and crank it over first which blows it out and is alittle safer then they put the plugs back in

You can always put it in with the engine running. Just let the engine suck some thru a vac hose.

That seems to be the best way to clean the valves up, but if you want the stuff to get down into your rings you have to put it directly into the combustion chamber and let it sit for a while. As long as you know how many cc your combustion chambers are you will be fine if you keep the amount of cleaner under one third of that volume per cylinder.
