Default H23 & F22 question

Okay, I've looked, but I don't see any definitive answers anywhere in the forums... Are the PISTONS in the H22 and H23 engines the same? I know they are the same bore, but do they have the same mounting points for the rods? I was planning to get H23 pistons and put them in an overbored F22 block. But I can only get H22 pistons. If I put the pistons on the f22 rods (same as H23 rods) will they be higher than the deck at TDC? Don't bother teling me I'm crazy, I'm just trying to piece some stuff together on a very limited budget. Thanks for any help you can give...

yes, H23 and H22 pistons are interchangeable... but you'll have to check for head clearance. H22 high compression profile pistons may interfere with the head.

any dished "turbo" piston for the H22 should clear just fine, tho.

I'm looking at just the stock H22 pistons with a flat surface. Thanks for the info!

h22 pistons will NOT work in a h23. they will hit the head. its not the dome that hits but the quench areas. the h22 has a lower piston pin than the h23 so if you put a h22 piston in a h23 the piston will come OUT of the block and smash the head. trust me, i found out the hard way

you cant bore a f22 out to 87mm w/o sleeving it. 2mm overbore is ALOT

if you want some factory pistons in your f22 try to get ahold of some f20b pistons, they will work and are much higher compression

you should let JE, Arias, and Wiseco know about this so they stop selling their pistons as interchangeable.

JE doesnt sell them as interchangeable btw.
165052, 166035 and 166036 are H22 part #s and 165051 and 165054 are teh h23 part #s.
i dont have part #s from wiseco but when i was last ont he phone with them they were diff parts for h23 and h22....and lastly.....about arias....
maybe we know why they are having financial troubles now.

Well, I bought the H22 Pistons anyway, and we'll see what happens. If there is a problem, then I'll let everyone know for sure.

I need major help so if anyone could get at me as soon as possible i broke my crankshaft right in half about four months ago and i took it apart and the block is screwed up it has scratches where it holds the crank on but im throwing a f22 block on there and i wanted to know wut the differnce between the f22 accord motor and h23 prelude because i know almost everything is almost the same with the rod bearing and main bearing but the thing i dont know thats the same is the compression rate and the strokes if its different could someone tell me how different and wut is different also im going to put the h23 head on to the f22 block......................................
