Cold air intake? short ram? Question!
Okay i took off my cold air extention on my hatch and when i did that it felt as though i was going faster with it OFF... and what i dont' get is isn't cold air suppost to make you go faster with more hp and tq than short ram? i was just wondering if anyone knows why it would be faster than cold air intake?
My friend said cuz it can get air to the engine faster... any ideas? i found this very very weird. also with the short ram its LOUDER.

Short ram's give a crisper throttle response, that will explain the feeling of going faster. Not only that they amplify the motors sound and make it sound more aggresive.

totally
I doubt it was much faster, espically off the line. It might be around the same speed once your get moving and air gets flowing through the engine bay. It prolly just sounds louder and grabs faster, so you think it is faster, but its not really.
