Default Question : Check Engine Code 1164

Does anyone happen to know what this engine code is? I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find what it means. If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

00AccordGirl,
I found this:
P1164 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Range/Performance (LAF Sensor)
But I have no idea what that means...
Other similar codes are:
P1149 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Performance (Front or Primary Sensor) P1162 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Circuit (Front Sensor) P1163 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Slow Response (LAF Sensor) P1164 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Range/Performance (LAF Sensor) P1165 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Range/Performance (LAF Sensor) P1166 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater Circuit (LAF Sensor) P1167 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Heater VS+ Circuit (LAF Sensor) P1168 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Label Circuit Low Input (LAF Sensor) P1169 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 Label Circuit High Input (LAF Sensor)
What's a LAF Sensor?
Sheesh.

I'll translate that h02s means hot oxygen sensor, so in other words it's the oxygen sesnor before the catylitic converter. Bank one sensor one just refers to the side of the engine it's on obviously you have a v6 engine, I'm not sure which side bank one is so i'm not any help for that. o2 sensor codes are a lot tricker on newer vehicles. One reason for the code could be that your o2 sensor is not responding very well, another could mean that your picking up misfires in the o2 sensor and the engine, but you should have a misfire code if that was the case. Basically if you don't want to go throwing parts and money at it i'd say you might want to look into getting your o2 sensor scoped to make sure it's operating correctly. You can change it and you may get lucky, i've just seen so many o2 sensor codes that are always something else causing the o2 sensor problem (mostly fords if that makes you feel better)

Thanks alot Bogatyr!! yeah I think I found the problem... YAY!!
According to the service manual, code P1164 is "primary O2 sensor circuit range/performance problem" Hopefully that's the same(even though it has a P) I'm going to ask the dealership tomorrow. Thanks again for your help!
