Jdm B16a, Usdm B16a??????????
I'm about to buy a B16A engine and I would prefer it to be a JDM B16A with hydro tranny and lsd. Problem is, I don't want to be ripped off buying a USDM engine. Is there any way to tell apart a USDM one and JDM one. I heard about some things but they don't make quite any sense. If you have any info on B16As that would be really cool.
I also have another question, is it possible to put the B16A with a hydro trannny and lsd in a 4th gen hatch Si, because HAsport only sells mounts for the B16A with cable tranny.

As for telling the difference, I couldn't really tell you, but for the cable/hydro tranny deal, the reason HASport makes mounts for the cable tranny is because that's what 4th gen civics use, otherwise you have to make the hydro system from scratch pretty much to be able to use a hydro tranny.

All the USDM B16s have a number suffix after the A, Like B16A2, B16A3. The JDM b16A's just say "B16A" on them. As far as how to tell the difference between 1st and 2nd gen JDM B16As, read this:
