Default Any gear ratios better than Type R?

I´m looking to rebuild my GSR tranny and did not know if any one makes closer gear ratios than the Type R tranny to keep RPMs high. Don´t know if I should rebuild it or buy a Type R tranny.

Thanks
Jay

Spoon has closer one, but I doubt if it is really beneficial at all.

With the Type R tranny in the GSR you're going to be cruising around 4400 on the freeway, but if you have the money go for it.

spec r tranny is suppose to be better. (close ratio FD) I believe the Spec r tranny with the better ratio is from 98 or 00 JDM Spec R's not possitive.

Another company sell another FD (ATS). Which has even closer gearing.

My friend has the Spec R tranny. That thing is beautiful. I'd like to pick one up myself.

I think the Spoon tranny is Spec R tranny. Not sure... Anyone know for sure?

I don't care about highway driving since the car is only for Road racing. I just need something that will keep the RPMs well above 4000.

I know some one who may have a 98 ITR usdm tranny for sale. If this helps either of you, lemme know hes trying to sell his engine and tranny out of his car that was totalled but is having trouble selling it all as one so he may part out everything. I know that in his 00 civic EX he loved the ITR tranny that was on his B16a3.

I am pulling my motor from my car and I got an ITR tranny on it. Car was totalled, and I got a 2003 RSX Type S, so I no longer need the motor or tranny. Motor I have is a B16A3. I am parting it out. I will most likely be selling the head separately. I have stage 2 port and polish, Spoon Cams, Skunk 2 valve springs, retainers, and cam gears, and a moon cut red valve cover. Tranny has about 20k miles on it, and I have a centerforce dual friction clutch w/ about 12k miles on it that would be going with it. Also put a brand new throwout bearing in when I had the tranny installed. I'll sell the tranny w/ clutch for $1580 w/ shipping.

B17 tranny is the shortest geared 5spd honda tranny on regular prod. cars. (that i know of)
SiR-II has the same gearing as it, as do the Type-R's.
