Default check engine light come on and off

Just installed a custom turbo kit for my civic. im running 8psi and the vafc hack w/ dsm injectors. Well im driving it today and there is no check engine light on so im happy. When it got dark, i wanted to see how hard it pulled. So i drove the car hard. Went up to about 80mph from a stop. it pulled pretty nice and the check engine light wasnt on. Then about 1 minute later im going about 40, drop it to second, it pulls hard, i redling, shift, then at about 80 mph while im still gunning it, the check engine light comes on and my car stopped accelerating. i felt a force on my gas petal, and i couldnt floor it. Does anyone know why this happened. Its happend before too but i dont know why.

Thanks

Did the CEL come on while you were going uphill under light throttle? If it did, that's common with the hack. Since the MAP voltage varies about 40% from the reading that the barometric sensor in the ECU puts out, the ECU assumes the baro sensor is faulty and throws a baro sensor code(13). This usually happens under light-throttle, going uphill. Or, if you're redlining frequently in a short period of time, it might be a 22, which is the VTEC solenoid.

Well i was redlineing frequently. About say 5 redlines in 1 minute. What can i do. So is it normal for the car to just stop accelerating while im flooring it due to the code.

Something tells me it was a 16, which would explain a lot...

Hey thanks a lot. I checked for the code and it was a code 16. Darn fuel. Ill check the resistors for bad connections. Good diagnostic Inspyral.
