What does the CEL look like?
I've had my 98 Civic EX for abt a year. Took it in for the state insp and it failed for 2 reasons.
1st: PO135: O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1 sensor 1)
2nd: Mil command status: On
MIL eng on: Pass
MIL engine off: FAIL
(The guy says the bulb is probably burnt out)
I'm pretty sure replacing the #1 o2 sensor and resetting the computer will take care of the first error.
Is the MIL lamp supposed to come on with "key on, eng off"? I've never seen it on.
When I have "key on, eng off", I get the oil press and batt fault lights on the left side of the speedo cluster. Is the MIL lamp supposed to be next to or under one of these lamps?
How I get to the mil lamp? What all has to come out? Any hidden screws or funky procedures?
Thx!!

Thx but I wanna try replacing the lamp first.
It's abt 100 degs out there right now. Later 2nite I'll check it out.
I've never had the dash out of a civic. Just need to know what all has to come out, and where the screws are at.
