because if you intend to built it up any, you're better off buying a b18c or whatever and putting the money you saved into it.

the type-r motor is overrated, yes it was a great stock motor, but if you are swapping you must be mechanically inclined enough to add something else onto a lesser motor for better results.

in turn the type-r motor also cost nearly twice as much in some cases as a b18c1 or sir-g b18c, both of which come with a much better head for modification. it really doesnt make sense why so many people like the type-r motor.

it's all hype.
