Default I may have messed something up!!

Hello everybody, I was racing tonight andd I think I may have messed something up just a little. I dont think its that big of a problem. I went a little past redline. The thing is now I can hear my valves slightly clicking when I push the throttle lightly. How would I go about fixing this small problem?

So how much would it cost to get them adjusted? How can I know if they are bent?

Honda engines have rev limiters. You cannot rev a Honda engine past it's safe limit when you're on the throttle. However, if you downshift and force the engine to rev way up past it's fuel-cut point, you can cause damage. It's not likely, though. I've accidently shot my D16A6 well past 9k (accidentally hit 2nd gear trying to hit 4th), and everything was fine.

If you wen't far enough past redline to cause valve float, piston/valve contact and bent valves, you'd hear and feel lots more than a faint clicking. The engine would have a really rough idle if any of the valves (even just one) wasn't seating correctly, among other things. Chances are you threw the lash out a little bit. Adjust it, set the ignition timing, make sure the oil level is good, and you shoudl be fine.
