Default Valve Adjustment

I searched the forums and did not find much on vavle adjusting. Anyone know of a detailed "how-to" on valve adjusting. Keep in mind I am a noob. Pictures help. I want to adjust the valves on an F22b2.

You need a 10mm wrench, flat tip screwdriver, feeler guages, and just rotate each cylinder either with the key with the coil disconnected from the distributor, or a socket on the crank to get each cylinder to top dead center, where you can set your valve lashes to factory specs. Just take off the valve cover, look around, and it will make sense. Also be sure to go easy on the valve cover nuts when putting it back on, a little tight is ok, too tight is snapping stuff off, go just tight enough to not be able to spin it back off by finger.

Thanks for the info. How hard is it to turn the crank? Is there a specific torque setting for the adjustment screws and vavle cover bolts?

Torque specs- tight enough, but not ham-fisted. between 5 and 8 lb-ft if you feel the need to use a torque wrench.

Crank is easy to turn over if you take out the spark plugs.
