you say paint runs , all paint runs so if you get a scuff pad or sos pad and rub on the crom untill its not shiny then the paint will have some thing to grab on too... my step dads a painter he taught me alot wile i was painting my car

yeah the big thing is to use alcohol on it and get it as clean as possible. Usually on the reflective surface that is all you need to get a good painting surface.

Thanks man im going to try that since I have them in my tail lights already, ill give those bulbs a try to see if they fit. Because, im not sure if white turn signals up front and yellow in the back would be so great. Wish there was some way to have a white running light up front and have a yellow turn signal lol.

Thanks again everyone.

does it have to be gunmetal? or can it be black? and what's up with the window tinting trick and how many coats did u spray on the back of the reflectors?

I wanted mine to look darker so I painted mine flat black. Here are a few pics so you can see how they came out.

No, it can be whatever you want it to be. We just thought that the gunmetal would be as close to the JDM lights as possible.

I think that we sprayed 2 coats, but you need to let it dry before you spray another coat, or it may turn a little bit darker than you want it to.

Looks good, 99CWCivicEX. I don't particularly like the black as much as the gunmetal, but if you like it than that's great. :D

Glad the DIY helped you. :)

I liked the gun metal but I wanted it a little darker with my car and the flat black came out the way I wanted it.
