Did this today :) Here is a couple more tips that I didn't see:

1) Don't touch headlight bulb. Oil from your hand would cause it overheat later.
2) I used a couple of flat screwdrivers instead of the knife. By nudging those in the clips, I can open up the housing along the longitude (start from one end and go the other). Requires some muscle though, since the sealant is like A LOT duct tape goo.
3) If you overspray the reflector, and they become too dark, use brake cleaner to remove all the paint, and retry :-)
4) Dont assemble lights until you got both of them done. So you can compare the color shades
5) Clean up the inside of the clear plastic before putting everything back together. Fingerprints on the inside would really suck :-P
6) Took me the whole afternoon and part of the evening (4-5 hrs).

now if only you painted the amber reflector and could find a way to hook up city lights...

good diy post. one suggestion, on teh corners i have had a problem in the past with not having a reflective area aroudn the turn signal bulb making it difficult to see my turn signals at night. this bothered me but f its no biggie to yall dont worrie about it. but maybe mark off part the square reflective area for your corner bulb.

Shortly after Westcoast initially posted this, I decided to give it a try. Came out nice. For you 96-98 guys, the chrome behind your turnsignal bulb is all that need be left unpainted. That gives a good signal at night. :)

The second set I did, we lightly painted the reflect area around the signal bulb. Kind of a mist paint. :D

Nice work man!

Alright... I was thinking of getting JDM CTR lights... but now I may just do it myself. The only thing I don't like is the orange reflector... I saw you guys sprayed yours.. so.. that tells me no where to get the clear ones except from the JDM lights? :dunno:
But.. I also wanted new lights cause the outside of mine are effed up kinda. Scratches and what not. :(

And.... here's the noob in me... what are city lights... i've heard of them... but... never heard of the explination as to what they are. And I know the JDM ones come with the set up already.
