:dunno: I did the DIY on a couple Civics and an RSX. I'm sure the procedure is very similar. ;)

Do you have a pic of the outer piece on a 96-98?

Alot of the new cars have a glossy black inside the housing so it still retains reflective qualities to not limit the amount of light.

I still don't think it makes a huge difference with the light output. Mostly the outer "chrome" is just to make the whole headlight light up or "glow." If you're worried about it, you could try using the tinting paint and see how it works out. Worst case scenario you have to take the tinting paint off and go with gunmetal. :wiggle:

It looks like he painted the whole inside of the corner lights chrome area and the outer chrome on his 02. Im wondering if I do that with my 98 will it be that bad with the light?

hey im just wondering, does the 97 accord headlights have a separate chrome housing piece like this civic does? because im thinkin about doing my own soon. thanks

Most likely, but you can easily tell by looking at the headlight housing.

If I paint the whole inside of the corner chrome light area with the tinted black paint will that affect anything?

I used 3M Fine Rubbing Compound. Takes most of it off, but I have to do it about once every 3 months or so. Takes about 5 minutes for both lights.
