Default Checking Fuel Injectors?

Does anyone know how i can check my injectors with normal hand tools? I checked the codes for the CEL and it says its the injectors? Called the dealer and they say they are about $44.00 but its about $174.00 to change.

Im just curious here if there is a way to pin point the defective injector by hand?

Thanks in advance guys!

Just remove the fuel rail and the injector harnesses and pull them out. The fouled ones would probably be covered in buildup causing it to clog or malfunction. I would get some new o-rings from the dealership to replace the old ones with since they will probably crack when the injectors are put back in. Check out www.deepstaged.net for a how-to on replacing injectors.

IF you have access to an ohm meter you can easily test each one at the wire connection point. A bad one will have way different ohms than the rest.
