yo i put a b16a1 in my 90 hatch and i really couldnt be happier i would highly recomend it. its a badass engine for the money

unless you've got some realllllly good hookups in Japan you won't be finding any auto GSRs, you should just sell the hatch and get a manual hatch

He wants to do a auto->manual conversion.

I'm going to add my voice to the chorus: buy a manual (the car, no the book)! You'd have more money to spend on the engine if you sold this car and bought a manual; you'd at least save the cost of the manual swap, you may even come out ahead (an automatic hatch is a bit harder to come by than a manual).

why not put a d16 in it and turbo it. You could do it for 3 grand with the manual tranny, maybe not the ECU and stuff, but they arent that expensive.

And a turbo D16 will smoke a stock B16, B18B, B18-C1 any day of the week
