Default Skunk2 Short Throw Shifter

I need some help installing my skunk2 ss, i removed the arm rest and center console, detached the shift linkage and removed the stock shifter already. When i stick the skunk2 ss in place i cant seem to reconnect the shift linkage because i cant seem to fit the cylindrical spacer in between the two holes where u stick the screw through . If you knoe wat im talking about please help me out.

-thanx a lot

What did you do to fix this? I am thinking about purchasing a Skunk 2 SS. Was it pretty easy to do yourself? Do you have any instructions on how to do this?

I am going to beat you to it since mine is in.... and so is my shift boot, and a couple of other sweet nothings.... :naughty:

DIY will be up within the hour, pics will have to wait till tomorrow, since I didn't take any after taking the old one off...

The spacer needs to go on the outside of the shift linkage. The two metal grommets (? I think that is what you would call them), go on the inside of the linkage in each side of the shifter, then the bolt through with one washer on the allen wrech side, then the spacer on the opposite side, then the washer, then the nut.

Let me know if you need anything else.

wow that was kind of vicious, wasnt it? =D

Anyway my DC SS was extremely easy to put in, but maybe not for others, I did when I put the swap in , and I have a lift , so it makes things easy ^^
