let me guess--> you've used an armorall or similar prduct in the past? those products leave the panels very oily.. and if you don't wash it off... your paint will bubble.
you need to wash the pecies better. try using some rubbing alcohol aswell

yep, i used rubbing alcohol to clean mine. Let it dry completely then paint. Just gotta be patient, it's going to "fish eye" some. Just do light coats and it'll cover it, i just used regular spray paint.

yeah........ duplicolor worked great.... prime, (let it dry!) paint (let all coats dry!) clear (let it dry!!)
i know it looks perty and you wanna touch it before hand, but dont... it aint perty.... cause its hard to sand the plastic down to original shape...

The biggest part in painting interior plastics will be the PREP!!!! The more time you take in cleaning the plastic of all oils and debris the better the paint will stick. Try washing the peices with dawn it does a good job of "cutting the grease away". Then you want sand the pieces with a fine grit sand paper prolly around 400-600 then hit it with some 800. Then wash the pieces again and when they are dry wipe them down with a cleaner called Preps All (at local parts stores). Then you are ready to paint. When you are paintiing use light coats and dont try to cover it all at once. With multiple coats and some 10-15 min drying time between coats should keep it from fish eyeing or running. If you need to you can sand between coats and then reprep and spraying again. Remember, the most time is spent preping and this is not a job that you can rush through. By the way I have used VHT paint and it works very well and seems to be very durable. This I know from experience......any other questions feel free to ask.

this is what we did
first took everything out of the car obviously
washed it with just soap and water.
scuffed it with 3M scour pads or something like that
then used virgin lacquer thinner everywhere
when it dried we painted it
looks great and so far no bubbles

yes it is....i regret doing it to my car...oh well... but if you think it looks good for now. All i can say is take off the parts, wash them really good, maybe even use alcohol to clean them. After cleaning them, wet sand them with 400 grit sand paper. After that wipe it with alcohol or water and soap to clean the residues off the parts. After that spray it, follor the directios on the can on how far you should spray. Oh yes, THIN coats... I **** UP the first time using THICK coats. So THIN my friend...THIN
oh yes after the first couple of coats are on wet sand with 1000 grit to get it smooth...afterwards clear coat it
