Default Integra GS-R O2 Sensor HELP!!!

How do I replace my O2 sensor in a 97 GSR, Midas wants to charge me $400 just for the parts. I know that there are two of them, is there a way to tell which one is faulty by the error code?

Probably, what's the code?
obd-II codes followed by the blinking light code in parentheses...
P0130, P0131 (1) primary HO2S low voltage
P0130, P0132 (1) primary HO2S high voltage
P0133 (61) primary HO2S slow response
P0135 (41) primary HO2S heater circuit
P0136, P0137 (63) secondary HO2S low voltage
P0136, P0138 (63) secondary HO2S high voltage
P0136, P0139 (63) secondary HO2S slow response
P0141 (65) secondary HO2S heater circuit

I think it was the P0141 code. I'll have to check again tonight when I get home. If it is that one, what does it mean?

Means the problem really isn't serious, but the O2 sensor is going to accumulate gunk in a hurry.

You can probably do the swap yourself, as it's very simple. However, if you've got a lot of rust down there, it can easily turn into a nightmare.

Can someone at autozone or a similar place tell me how to do the swap? I'm not very experienced at doing automotive work. If anyone could give me quick step by step instructions on how to replace it I would be much obliged.

First, you disconnect the wiring. This is a PITA, as the wiring goes up from the back of your cat and into a rubber plug behind your center console. If you can get a friend to wiggle the wires while you look under there, it would probably be easier. There's a clip back there that you can disconnect, and then pull the sensor pigtail and the rubber plug out of the car.

The O2 sensor has a 19 millimeter hex piece at its base. You get yourself an O2 sensor wrench that will fit it (has a hole cut in it like a flare wrench), put it on, and unscrew the sensor from the cat.

Screw in the new sensor, replace the wiring, and you are done.

Thank you so much!!! I can't believe people will charge you more than $500 to do that.

Well, if the sensor is really rusted in you might not be able to get it out without removing the cat. Which will bring you into a world of pain.

how would you go from a 97 HX o2 sensor to a 96 JDM GSR o2 sensor without having the check engine light coming on?
