Default Some more Civic questions?

Okay, since I almost nutted at the sight of 90civicEX's 4dr pimp ride. I wanna ask some questions about the rare tricked out 4dr.

The models are EX, LX, and DX if i'm correct. What engine and tranny goes with what model? Are there offerings similar to the hatch, and CRX?

How much do they wiegh?

Thanks!

I know about DX and LX for all 4 years, but I don't think EX came out until '90 or possibly '91.

DX and LX had the D15B2, no idea about EX.

Now I don't know much about Hondas, so the D15B2. Is that the 16 valve, DPFI engine?

Yeah D15B2 is the DPFI one. And yes EX probably did have the Si engine which is D16A6.

Thanks White Rice, i'm getting better on the Honda engine codes

Well thats cool at least the 4drs didn't have the weak 8 valve motor.

The only con I can see to getting a 4dr is that they wiegh a little more. But at Hondaswap.com they have the 4dr listed to around 2200lbs. which isn't really bad considering the CRX Si wieghed almost that much.

I prefer coupes....but if sedans are your thing, more power to you. I don't roll w/a load of people in my car so I don't have the need for 4-doors...or a backseat for that matter!!!!!!!!

But to each his own......If you are looking at doing some hardcore drag or auto-x competition (where hundredths of the sec will mean the world to you), then worry about the weight, but if you're not doing anything hardcore, I'd just get something that suits your needs. Just my $.02

BTW...Glad the page helped ya out!

White Rice, i'm not looking to be full hardcore drag or auto-xing all the time.

I do wanna do both, and look to get some suspension and motor mods, or even a swap with whatever I get. Not full out, but just enough to have some fun, and build upon.

I don't wanna roll with alot of people at all, I would rather prefer a 2dr car, but I really like the looks of the 4dr when done up. And I can always toss the back seat, so I don't have to hall the gang, and to shed some pounds.

Thanks again!
