I can't remember if I have State Farm or Farmer's (two different companies that I always get mixed up) I think I'm on Farmer's Insurance. Anyways, I'm 17, 1 ticket, 2002 Cougar V6 2Dr. $90/mnth Full Coverage.
That's because we have the family plan and I'm Secondary driver of the Cougar (I'm really primary, noone else drives it but me, cuz it's my car) but I'm still covered no matter what. We also get a multi-car discount (7 cars).

The fact that your 'rents won't let you on their policy is :ghey: IMHO. But this very fact gives you free reign on your provider. Don't get local, fly-by-night insurance. Go for a national chain. Don't you dare get full coverage on a 15 year old car. They will rape you in the long run.
